Holiday Side Dishes: Rustic Herbed Bread

November 23, 2017

For our third dish, Lupo and I decided to make an easy herbed bread recipe because it makes you look fancy af when you show up to the holiday party with it but in reality, it’s the least expensive fastest recipe you’ll ever use.  Everyone loves bread and it’s the perfect side dish for a hearty holiday meal!

Ingredients:
3 1/2 Cups Flour
1 1/4 Tsp Baking Soda
1 1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Dried Basil
1 Tsp Dried Oregano
2 Stems Fresh Thyme
2 Cups Buttermilk

STEPS

  • In a large bowl whisk together: Flour, baking soda, salt, dried oregano, and dried basil.
  • Mix in buttermilk until a sticky dough is formed.
  • Spray bread loaf pan with cooking spray
  • Add dough and top with parmesan cheese and fresh thyme.
  • Bake for 35 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Let cool, slice and enjoy with soft butter. Yummy!
