Loungewear season is upon us quite literally. And just because we’re quarantined at home, doesn’t mean we can’t dress up and look good while staying comfortable. The nice thing about loungewear are that it is here to stay so I like to consider it an investment. I for one have stocked up on several staple lounge pieces that will also work great to transition into spring street style.
Hi angels, happy Monday! I hope you are all staying safe and positive during this uncertain time. If you’ve been coping by online shopping like I have, then you’ve probably already stocked up on your cozy at home lounge-wear. But if you haven’t and you’re on the search for some pieces to social distance in then look no further. I’ve rounded up my favorites for you.
My current staple quarantine loungewear pieces are probably sweatpants, biker shorts and tie-dye sweaters. I’ve been living in them since before quarantine and just make for the perfect model off duty look. I love that wear them as part of the edgiest airport look. They can be dressed up with booties and a crop top and leather jacket or dressed down with a tee shirt, sneakers and baseball tees. Similar to sweatpants, bike shorts are a key staple. Personally, I prefer these to sweatpants because they’re so flattering and feel like yoga pants as shorts. Pair these with an oversized tee or button up for a trendy look or add a ribbed crop top, blazer and sandals for something a little more chic. Lastly, tie-dye sweatshirts are such a cute way to introduce spring while still being comfortable. Tuck them into your bra with jeans for a more sporty look and viola!
Here are a few of my favorite places to shop for lounge wear:
Aritzia
H&M
Urban Outfitters
Aerie
Shop Luna B (Use Code Itzy15 for $$ off)
Boohoo
Missguided
Madewell
Everlane
Pretty Little Thing
Shopbop
Target
Below, I’ve thoughtfully picked out loungewear pieces that I have personally shopped for myself, currently in my cart or know that you would love and resonate with! I realize a lot of people may not be shopping during this time which is completely understandable and I would never want you to feel pressured. But instead, hopefully just distract you, inspire you with whatever’s already in your closet or perhaps help you find your new favorite loungewear piece!
